Weekend Wrap - Agonisingly Close Losses in Top Grades - 28th October 2019
The story of the weekend for our boys was the inability to close out games as our 1sts, 2nds and 3rds all narrowly lost to Charlestown after being in winnable positions. 4ths and 5ths secured comfortable wins and the C&S boys had split results with Bear's D2s getting up against rivals Adamstown and Quinny's C5s going down against The Gardens.

Weekend Wrap - Winning Start for 5 Waratah Sides Finally the cricket season kicked of for our boys, and 5 of our 7 sides started the season with a win, with 4ths going down in a close one and 1sts being outclassed by Hamilton-Wickham.

On Sunday club members met for our Annual General Meeting, and there were a few major talking points to come from it.
Presentation Night Wrap-up - 31st May 2019
On Saturday night the Official Mayfield Hotel played host to our Presentation Night for 2018/19 in front of an 80+ crowd. It was a great year for our club, taking home 7 team awards from the Newcastle District Cricket Association and Newcastle City and Suburban Cricket Association (4 x Premiers, 3 x Minor Premiers), but the night was all about honoring the individuals who put in on and off the field to make our club as great as it is.
A huge congratulations to WMDCC Pink Boys for their efforts in supporting the McGrath Foundation with another well attended fund raising dinner. It was the Pink Boy's 7th Annual Dinner and the first hosted at the NJC. Pink Tie Dinner a Success at NJC - 12th April 2019

The Newcastle Herald put out an article this morning to highlight the longevity of Steve Christie as he and his team prepare for this Saturday's 4th Grade Grand Final. But what they were unaware of was that Crunch will be equaling the club record of 533 games held by his good mate Ian "Reds" Liddell when he takes the field at Waratah no.1.
