Waratah Women into Grand Final!

Last night our girls got the win to secure their place vs. Newcastle City at Learmonth next Wednesday night in the first ever NDCA Women's decider.
Bowling first, Wests put up a much improved showing from last week to post 4/64 from their 20. We started well with tight bowling from opening pair Cassandra McLaren (2/10 off 4) and Emily Palmer (1/13 off 4), before Alisha Phoonie had one of the more unlucky spells you'll see in her 0/7 off 4 overs. Alisha bowled 17 dot balls in a row to start her spell, with plenty of near misses, before bowling her opponent on a no ball.
The chase was all about the commanding innings from Skye Lovett, who scored 41* of just 24 balls to get us home in the 9th over.
Lets get a big crowd next Wednesday to support the girls.
